Week 4

This week I did some experiments with the type to see how I could incorporate this with the balloons.

This one is using the handwritten type in the middle of the maze of balloons to show that there is no escape from the boisterousness and you cannot see the end cause the balloons look like they're endless.

This trial was spelling out the word boisterous with the balloons however because its pinned down it was hard to get the same effect as pushing through the balloons. I think this looks the best cause its suspenseful and then at the end you get to see what the result is.

This was testing what it would look like with the word boisterous made out of the popped balloons.

For this video I tried going through the balloon maze and popping them as I went. But this was a little difficult as the balloons were quite difficult to pop and had to do each one individually. However I like the effect of having the popped balloon on the ground forming the words. They seem a bit too perfect and not quite genuine enough.

For my final video I will try combining footage from all my tests with close ups and wide shots because the words spelled out on the wall looks the best but the jungle of balloons with the squeaky sound adds to the tension.

Some inspiration for balloon related art installations
